A typical anthropomorphic fantasy RPG, that allows the majority of supernatural creatures from a huge list to join together and cause disruption to Gensokyo, a fantasy village in Japan that has been sealed away from modern world, trapping these supernatural creatures and some humans, inside of the boundary. These youkai, having supernatural powers, cause the disruption in Gensokyo known as 'incidents' where reality is twisted. They (whoever 'they' are (probably the humans from the village)) send powerful humans to purify or destroy these troublesome youkai. The local shrine maiden 'Reimu Hakurei' is a first choice as youkai are weak to the power of the gods. But Reimu's friend 'Marisa Kirisame' always wants a go, so it's a gamble who goes.
A touhou RPG...
Many youkai have been popping up all over Gensokyo. The youkai exterminators have returned. The youkai are turning towards the border and are trying to get out. It's up to the exterminators to help defeat these new youkai before it's too late and they escape past the border...
These new youkai are bigger and badder than the older ones. More and more humans are training each day by the assistance of the Moon People. If anything get's worse, the modern day outsiders would have to face these youkai and the fate of Gensokyo could lead to a complete disaster...
