Cherri swished her head around, long hair spreading all over the place. Jay and Bella were at the entrance and Jay was waving a Touhou figure at her. Cherri smiled and went for them. "Arigato Gozaimashita!" she called back at them and left her things in the car. "Wait for me please!" she called to the driver and ran over to them just holding her roller blades. She then stopped in front of them and gave a polite bow. "Sorry about all of this fuss I'M causing! I'm glad you've returned this to me!" Just then, Cherri turned around to notice that the taxi was making off up the road with Hakuto in the back wailing and clawing the window. Cherri had no idea how he escaped from the carrier but that was the least of her problems.
The car was making off with one of her friends and she was gonna get him back. "WAIT!" was the first thing anyone could hear after Cherri switched to her skates and went riding off, leaving her BabyCham trainers on the floor. She went off after the car, knowing it'd have to go to the other side of the Mall before it could exit. Cherri went back through the doors and skated through the mall, dodging all of the people. Cherri knew she'd have to try and get through the other doors and stop the taxi from confirming their parking ticket. She wasn't sure if taxis had to pay but if they did, it would save her a lot more time. Cherri carried on past the ice cream shop where she was about five to ten minutes ago. Past all of the otaku, clothes and DVD shops she'd visited until she got to those double doors at the other entrance.
Once Cherri arrived, she noticed the car wasn't quite there yet. "Security! That cab's nicked all of my stuff! Please! Stop him!" She called to the mall security that were standing by the car exit. She knew there wasn't much else she could do. She could risk her life for Hakuto or just let the security take care of it. It was her choice. She didn't know how it happened but she did know why. Her legs and skates didn't stop until she was in the middle of the road screaming; "STOP!" The taxi did just that. After it'd got close enough to Cherri to knock her over. All you could her was a loud screech coming from the car tires. Cherri flew backwards and knocked onto the floor with a small groan.
The security guards managed to catch the driver in time and the ambulance was called. Cherri lay on the floor not saying a word. What had she just done? She wasn't hurt much but she was awfully stunned. When she eventually lifted her head up, The security told her not to move. She was then moved to the side of the road whilst security moved the car and diverted traffic.

HER BEST DAYS WILL BE SOME OF MY WORST † Jay breathed a sigh of relief when Cherri noticed them as they ran toward her. She met them a little less than half way, holding her roller blades. And then, with another Japanese phrase, she bowed apologetically. " It's no problem at all. " Jay returned, holding the figurine out for her to take, but before she did, Cherri turned around back toward her taxi and noticed that it was driving away with her merchandise and dog still inside. His mental jaw dropped. There was a robbery. Taking place. Right now. In front of Jay's very eyes. What was he supposed to do? What was he supposed to do? What was he supposed to do? Jay had never witnessed a real robbery. He had been blamed for a couple of minor ones in the past, though. Once when he was in middle school, a boy had stolen some food from the school's cafeteria. Jay was the immediate suspect. Call it bad luck. Call it being in the wrong place at the wrong time but it was a well-known fact that Jay's family was relatively poor and before he knew it, the crime was pinned on him. That wasn¡¯t even the worst he was blamed for. But, nevertheless, Jay couldn¡¯t help but become panicked. Cherri had immediately gone to retrieve her things after putting her skates on, cutting through the mall, presumably, with the idea that she would be able to catch up to the car. In the anime and manga his sister constantly watched, the male protagonist was always the one to chase after the bad guy, beat him up, and then become a hero. Was that what he was supposed to do? Would it be smarter to just call the authorities? No doubt there were dozens of cops inside the mall. Jay was not an impulsive boy. Not in the slightest. He was always the one to take orders, becoming a servant to anyone, but he had to do something, right? This 'something' took the form of a sudden push to do good. Jay's sense of justice was as sharp as a tack, but that didn¡¯t mean his will was in perfect step with it. He had come this far with the figurine. What was chasing after a criminal compared to that? Pffft, a lot, his conscious answered back. Though this thought made him a bit hesitance, Jay willed himself to do what was right. Dropping Bella's hand, he said in his most confident and heroic (albeit a little shaky) voice, " Try to keep up." As soon as the words left his mouth, he took off back into the mall. Cherri was right to cut through the mall. It was much faster than just straight following the limo, but she had roller blades and he did not. It made her considerably faster than himself, but it limited her course. Jay was no parkour expert, but he knew the mall well enough to maneuver his long legs through the numerous shops. He dodged shoppers, cut through stores, and even jumped over the occasional bench. By his calculations (which honestly weren¡¯t even that accurate most of the time), he should reach the end of the mall just a little bit after Cherri will, if not at the same time. He was kind of right. Jay could just glimpse Cherri's red hair as she pushed open the double doors to the outside world. He followed suit, although a couple of minutes later, but once outside, he froze up, overcome with another unfamiliar situation. He saw Cherri jump into the middle of the road to prevent the limo from going any farther. All he could think was 'Idiot! Idiot! Idiot!'. He wasn¡¯t even sure it was meant for himself or Cherri. Guilt filled his spirits as he watched the car stop, but not in time. It made impact with Cherri, sending her backwards. 'What if...' questions filled him, causing him to deepen his mental freeze. What if he had gotten their first? What if he had had enough time to push Cherri out of the way? Maybe he was being a bit melodramatic, but he felt as if it was his fault. After all, if he hadn't distracted her with the figurine (which he was still holding, he noticed arbitrarily), the limo wouldn¡¯t have been able to make a getaway; thus, Cherri would not be injured. Still frozen, he watched Cherri make her way to the side of the road. It looked like nothing serious had happened to her, he told himself in an effort to calm him down. It was a wonder that he hadn't started hyperventilating yet. Finally, he was able to reclaim his heroism (if it could still be called that) and rushed to her aid. " Are you alright? " Jay asked, concerned, and put a reassuring hand on her shoulder. " Should I call an ambulance?"[/blockquote] STATUS; WORD COUNT; 825 NOTES; Longest post yet >.<

Bella was glad that their goal was almost complete. Jay would be a hero! Then Bella noticed the dog in the back seat of the car. It was pawing the glass, and then moving away. Bella realized it was the car taking off, but it seemed that the older kids had noticed first. They were already in action. Bella watched as Cherri switched to her skates and yelled "wait". Bella bit her lip in panic. What was going to happen? The youngest of the Eterna family was sheltered. She had never ever even thought about taking something that was hers. It was wrong! She had never been desperate, never been out in the cold, hungry. It was true she had been sad, scared, terrified even. That hadn't changed her nice personality though. So she would never take anything from anyone. The blond girl watched Cherri go through the double doors and go speeding through the mall.
There was no way Bella had any idea of what to do off the bat. She panicked. Biting her lip, she turned to look at Jay. He said that she should try to keep up and tore off after Cherri. Bella stood there dumbfounded. In a moment she ran into the mall, and took a shortcut only short people like herself could use. There was a little kid's area, which went to the side of the building to which the nearest exit was. She run around the toys, frantically searching for the exit. She ran out the doors, then to her dismay an unfortunate event took place.
Bella's hand flew over her heart, her hand over her mouth as a silent scream formed. The car knocked over Cherri. Then to Bella's relief I didn't seem like she was hurt. Bella's knees gave way, and she landed on her butt. Soon she was crying. For lots of reasons. She had been worried... She was surprised... Her butt hurt (well a little bit)... It reminded her of the plane crash... Which reminded her of her deceased father... Which made her sob even more.
With a deep shuddering breath she wiped her face with the back of her hand. Looking at the mess on her hand in disgust she wiped it off on the lower part of the back of her leg. She then stood up, watching as Jay ran up to Cherri and The police swarmed like busy bees. Okay, there weren't that many but still... Bella again tried wiping off her face. It seemed pretty dry now.
Bella left the corner exit she was at and walked over to Cherri and Jay. Latching herself onto Cherri in a hug. If anyone had caught a glimpse o her face before she latched herself onto Cherri they would most definitely know she had been crying. "Cherri! I thought you were... I'm so happy your alright!" She detached herself from Cherri and almost started crying again. They hadn't even known each other for longer then three hours, and Bella still cried her eyes out over it. It was amazing that just a few moments had felt like centuries.

Cherri winced as Bella's arms wrapped around her. it was nice to know that people cared but, ouch! That pain! She quickly brashed herself off and smiled at Jay, who seemed pretty worried. "Daijoubu, daijoubu..." she said. Cherri hadn't felt like this in a long time. WHen all of her friends were around her, she felt like the world only revolved around her for a few minutes; a guilty pleasure. The only thing was that Cherri was quite modest and wouldn't like to show off too much.
"Thanks a lot you guys. You really helped me a lot." Cherri stretched her arms to help flex the pain. It wasn't as painful as some of her previous events, but it was almost unbearable. Cherri waved her her arms above her head whilst talking to her friends. "This has definetly been one of the wierdest days of my life. I never knew I'd do such a dreadful thing. I'm just glad Hakuto is okay," Cherri grinned. "I dunno what I would've done if he was gone, Atashi wa, Hakuto ga daijōbu ureshiiyo." Cherri flicked her long red hair out of her face. It was quite a mess after the accident.
With that, the security officers started to move Cherri's stuff out of the car, including little Hakuto. Taking him out first and then taking ages to remove everything else, Cherri hugged Hakuto after taking him out of the carrier. "Daijoubu, daijoubu da yo. Atashi wa futatabi takushī o yobidasu kotode wa nai de." Cherri pushed her face into her dog's fur. It felt like they hadn't seen eachother for years. Hakuto could sense the emotion and kept quiet, with his tongue hanging out. His long golden fur wasn't even as messy as Cherri's hair, which was quite embarrassing.

SHE FINALLY FOUND A MAN THAT¡®S GONNA PUT HER FIRST †Jay blinked in ignorance for a second, his mind searching for the definition of 'daijoubu'. His mental Japanese dictionary told him it was either a type of duck or meant 'I'm okay'. Because the latter seemed more fit, he decided to roll with it. Talking about a duck wasn't quite appropriate for the situation.
Even so, Jay was still rather concerned about Cherri's well being. Of course, even after going through the roughest things, people often put on a strong front and say that they're all right. Heck, Jay was one of those people. She did seem rather uninjured, he observed. A little flustered and with perhaps a couple of scratches and bruises, but she would heal, he was sure. She sure seemed happy about her dog being safe. Hakuto, he supposed his name was, seemed intelligent, letting Cherri cuddle him in her minor shocked skate.
" Are you sure? " Jay asked again, ignoring the string of Japanese words that he wouldn't even try to translate. [/blockquote] STATUS; Complete WORD COUNT; 181 NOTES; Blargh XP Sorry for the lateness and shortness

Once Bella let go Of Cherri, Cherri brushed herself off. Bella watched with relief filling her to the brim. What if there had been another accident and someone was killed? Bella couldn't even bear to think that other families might have to go through what her family went through at the loss of her father. Bella felt very somber at the moment but even more then that relieved.
The fourteen year old stood silent and still, arms folded. She watched as the policemen removed Cherri's things from the car. There was no words she could really think of at the moment. What would she say that wasn't already obvious? "Thank heavens your alive!" was a phrase that might get her labeled captain obvious. Bella wasn't thinking that way. She was more spaced out. In shock sorta. It was strange that she was the one still terrified, when Cherri had lived through the experience and come out OK.
If anyone was going to get a label it was Jay. He deserved one. He was so chivalrous today that deserved to be a prince. Bella thought so anyway. When Cheri was speaking in Japanese Bella barely payed attention. She just took it as a sign that she was okay. Bella then smiled when she saw Cherri embracing her cute dog. The young blond turned to Jay, with a grin on her face. "I'm totally gonna be your number one fan! Okay?" She then turned to watch Cherri, like that was the most normal thing to say in the situation. Bella had to give him some kind reward for being so awesome. Running all over the place for a girl her barely knew was astounding. Her statement was supposed to be the equivalence of a pat on the back, and a "good work!" being said.
